I called Precision because I heard their advertisement on The Joy FM, a station I am fond of and listen to because I helped build their studio and transmitter facilities and get it on the air over 30 years ago. I wanted to look at reworking the seals to prevent leaves, frogs, lizards and snakes from getting into the garage. I arranged an appointment and their tech, Keith came out to look at my door about 8:30/9:00 AM. We discussed what type of seal to use and how to install it and he then looked at my installation. He noticed that the spring board had pulled away from the wall and the door was in imminent danger of collapsing! Needless to say, I authorized the repair and service work to begin immediately. He even helped clear the space back from the door to give him room to set up his ladders and table. By Noon he was finished with new springs, new nylon rollers, realignment of the track, a new bottom triple seal, lubrication of the track, rollers, and hinges {which had never been done}, and resetting of the limits on the motor. After almost 9 years, the door runs quieter, smoother, and is better sealed than when it was originally installed by another company. I could not be happier! I would definitely recommend Precision and their installer Keith Allen for anyone needing garage door work of any type.

I was very pleased with the fair estimate of my job, I was very happy that he could do the job immediately and did a great job. He also made me aware of a problem I may have in the future and told me to watch for it. I will definitely ask for him the next time I need help with the door equipment.

I chose this company because of its high Google rating and the ability to come out on the same day. The repair was for them to come out and replace one of two Springs that were broken. The next morning when I operated the door I noticed it was much more quiet and worked very smoothly. I am writing the service as one star due to the negligence of the technician laying the power cord for the control box across the chain of the Drive Unit. Not only would this be considered a fire hazard but would also end up sawing through the power cord resulting in another repair. Thank goodness I noticed it in time enough to unplug it I relocated it to run under the unit as it should have been done by the technician and replug it in.

The quote I received over the phone was $69-$118 per spring installed. The salesman/technician that arrived quoted $118-$329 depending on what level quality of spring I wanted. I said I want a direct replacement, which turned out to be $118 spring. (Other options were powder coated springs and things that aren’t necessary) The spring that was install is 6” shorter than the old spring, so obviously not the same. I questioned it, told him I didn’t want to change it to a lesser quality and he told me it would be fine. When the invoice was provided for payment, I was then informed it only has a 90 day warranty. You can read between the lines…tell you one thing, sell you garbage and pray on uninformed homeowners. If you only back the product you are selling for 90 days, than you know it garbage. Thanks Precision, I’m in sales and understand it’s part of the business…but that sales model is unacceptable. Hope this review is helpful…
