I would strongly recommend Precision doors for your garage door maintenance/service needs! For the last past week or so, my garage door would close and then reopen. At this point, it had become frustrating playing tug of war with the garage door. So, as we all do from time to time, I looked on YouTube to try to fix it myself. I thought I had it all figured out and the door was fixed. However, to my surprise, the next morning, as I am heading to work; the garage door closed and reopened several times. At this point, I knew I had to call someone. When I arrived to work, I called Precision Doors, and they came out the same day. Josh was the technician who completed the service call. He arrived on time and ready to assist. You all know how this part of the story goes. As I’m telling Josh my concerns and closing the garage door for him to witness it for himself; the garage door did not perform to the expectations. Instead, it closed without reopening. I informed Josh that I went on YouTube and tried fixing it myself. Josh smiled and respectfully informed me that the Do-It-Yourself methodology could cause additional mechanical damage to the motor. Since the garage seemed to be working correctly, he said; I think you may have fixed it. At this moment, I felt that I could trust him and the company that he represents because he could’ve charged me for work that wasn’t completed, and I would have never known. Furthermore, Josh is full of knowledge, and it is evident that he loves his job. He enlightened me on preventives to maintain the upkeep of the garage door. Josh educated me on how my garage door should sound, look, and that the garage door was too heavy for the motor. At this moment, he could have tried the upsell technique, but he didn’t. He merely provided me with the knowledge and awareness that I’d soon need to change the motor. Josh asserted that the garage door needed to be serviced. I agreed with him and asked him to complete the services while he was here. He expounded on what the service upkeep entailed and the price. He made me aware of the cost, it was a little over 200 dollars. While Josh was completing the maintenance work, we had the opportunity to chat for a little bit. Josh and I discussed an endeavor that I’m in the process of trying to accomplish. I recently purchased a bus that I will be converting into a space to tutor students in poverty on the weekends for free. During our conversation, I was in and out of other conversations via phone. One phone conversation was me articulating where I’d like the bus towed to ensure the mechanics are in good standing. Josh asked me if I was receiving donations or had any assistance with the project. I informed him that I was paying for all expenses out of pocket. Once the dialogue was completed, I walked into the house. Shortly after, Josh knocks on the door letting me know that he had completed the work. I was about to head back into the house to grab my purse to pay. Josh looked at me, smiled, and said the services completed were free of charge. I could not hold the tears back. In lieu, Josh said; I love your idea, therefore, use the money you were going to pay for the services I’ve provided to tow your bus. Josh’s act of kindness reminds me that there are still good people in the world! I can’t thank Precision Overhead Garage Doors enough for sending him to complete the service call at my home today. His kind heart, knowledge, and understanding made today a great day for me. FYI: the past month or so has come with many challenges and adversity. It has been extremely hard for me. I think Josh recognized that and was able to empathize with me. In conclusion, without any hesitation, I would give Josh and Precision Overhead Garage Doors infinity stars. ??
